The Colourpop x Disney collection was released on October 7th.
Disney has released a lot this year when it comes to collaborations, like Luminess (beauty), and Funko have all dropped Disney-themed collections within the last few months, and now Disney has released another round with Colourpop.
Colourpop and Disney in fact, have already dropped two Disney collections so far — the "Designer Collection" and the Disney Villains Collection. Now, Colourpop is back for round three with its new Midnight Masquerade Collection, which celebrates eight iconic Disney princesses.
The new line, was named after a series of limited-edition Disney Princess Dolls and features individual makeup bundles created for each one. As for the princesses that inspired the collection, you have Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Rapunzel from Tangled, Tiana from the Princess and the Frog, Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre dame, Megara from Hercules, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, and lastly, Giselle from Enchanted.
The pallet has 12 pressed powder shadows that I feel are, very pigmented that apply evenly and smoothly upon application, it is a long wearing formula, and gives a soft focus effect, and blends easily.
There is 1 pressed piment that is a vibrant and creamy formula that delivers maximum payout for an intense look.
Finally, there are 2 pressed glitters, they self-adhering pressed glitters make it easy to apply. I have to say they are unlike any pressed glitters that I have used before, they look more like loose glitters but after swatching and playing around with them they are stunning. This pallet costs $22.
The collection has 8 lux liquid lips that can be sold seperately or with a blush/highlighter in a bundle for each princess (listed above). They are plush, velvet liquid lipsticks with medium buildable coverage that creates a soft, diffused look. Colourpop claim to use a whipped formula that contains a blend of antioxidant rich ingredients pomegranate, goji fruit and grape seed extract to nourish lips and from my personal experience I believe this is true. These are $8 each or $18 in the bundle.
Overall, I love this collection and I think it is worth every penny but it is only available in USA which I wish was for sale here in the UK.
